Muzeum Archeologiczne w Poznaniu

Museum belongs to the cultural institutions of the Local Government of the Wielkopolska Region. It has existed for more than 165 years. It is here that the famous and unique in this part of Europe obelisk of Ramses II is located, here you can also see a real Egyptian mummy, the famous oxen from Bytynia and many other interesting monuments from Wielkopolska and Africa. Research in Greater Poland and Africa are the main profiles of the Museum's activities. We also do not forget about the archaeology of Poznan, initiating and participating in many projects, important for the study of the problems of the early city. We are a museum institution, focused on contact with a wide and demanding audience, disseminating the achievements of our science and popularizing knowledge about the past.
